County employees commended for decades of devoted public service

Ventura, CA – During the regular Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, June 18, the County of Ventura recognized 21 employees for their enduring commitment to public service across various county agencies. This quarterly ceremony forms part of the County’s Employee Continuous Service Recognition Program, which acknowledges individuals who have surpassed 25 years of continuous service to Ventura County residents.

“I extend my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service and dedication to Ventura County that is demonstrated by the extraordinary careers of these individuals,” stated 3rd District Supervisor Kelly Long, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. “The progress and achievements of our County are a direct result of the tireless efforts and commitment of our employees. The opportunity to recognize publicly these achievements exemplifies the strength of our collective efforts and the invaluable contributions each of you bring to our community.”

Honorees span multiple departments including the Assessor’s Office, Clerk-Recorder & Registrar of Voters Office, District Attorney’s Office, Fire Department, Health Care Agency, Harbor Department, Human Services Agency, Public Works Agency, Resource Management Agency, and Sheriff’s Office. Collectively, the careers of these 27 individuals represent an impressive 570 years of service to the communities across Ventura County.

The Employee Recognition Awards, presented by the Board of Supervisors, serve as a tribute to the enduring contributions of County employees across 25 agencies and departments, celebrating their steadfast service and invaluable contributions to the services and programs that benefit the community.
