VENTURA, Calif. – The County of Ventura recently recognized 23 employees for achieving significant career milestones, each having served 25 years or more in public service. Together, these individuals represent a combined 660 years of continuous service to the residents and communities of Ventura County.
The recognition took place during the April 8th meeting of the Board of Supervisors as part of the County’s Employee Continuous Service Recognition Program, which honors long-serving employees in five-year increments beginning at 25 years of service.
“Behind every County program, service, and local initiative that supports our residents, there are dedicated individuals working tirelessly to make those efforts possible,” said Supervisor Janice Parvin, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. “We are proud to acknowledge the career milestones for these employees. Their willingness and dedication to serve the community have made a lasting impact through decades of service and commitment.”
The honored employees represent a range of departments, including health care, public safety, finance, technology, and administrative support. While their responsibilities vary, they are united by a shared dedication to public service and investing in communities throughout Ventura County.
“These employees exemplify what it means to be a public servant,” said County Executive Officer Dr. Sevet Johnson. “Their years of service reflect not only professional career longevity, but also a deep commitment to the values of civic service and generating true community impact.”
The Employee Continuous Service Recognition Program supports the County’s strategic priority to attract, develop, and retain a skilled and diverse workforce dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of the public. The County is proud to recognize and celebrate these individuals for their contributions and commitment.
