🐾 Behind the Scenes at Ventura County Animal Services’ Volunteer Program 🐾

From rescuing and rehabilitation to rehoming, the volunteer program at @vcanimalservices offers a unique look at the important work being done every day to care for animals in need. It’s also a great way for community members, especially youth, to learn, get involved, and lend a helping hand.

VCAS is always in need of community support. Whether it’s food, treats, blankets, towels, or toys, every donation helps! Thank you to UPCS Builders Club for your donations and support!

CARE Act Town Hall Meeting 💻Recording Now Available
The County of Ventura and the Ventura County Superior Court hosted the presentation on May 15th.

This informative session covered the Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act—highlighting eligibility, the petition process, and how this new state program is being implemented locally to support individuals with serious mental health and substance use challenges.

👉Speakers included representatives from the Ventura County Superior Court, County Counsel, Public Defender’s Office, and Behavioral Health, working together to connect residents with the care they need.
👉Spanish interpretation is available in the recording.

Earlier this week, close friends and family gathered at the Ventura County Government Center to honor the legacy of Supervisor Carmen Ramirez with the unveiling of a new rose garden in her memory.🕊🌹

Located between the Hall of Administration and the Hall of Justice, the garden, constructed by our General Services Agency, features vibrant roses and peaceful benches, offering a space to reflect on Carmen’s lifelong dedication to justice and public service.

May her memory continue to inspire our community.❤

The popular trail, stretching from Ventura to Ojai, underwent major upgrades to improve safety, accessibility, and overall enjoyment for everyone . The repaving project spearheaded by @venturacountyparks includes a freshly resurfaced path, tree maintenance, and new signage.

🚴Just in time for National Bike Month, it’s the perfect opportunity to hop on your bike or take a walk and enjoy the newly improved trail.
