Yesterday, our General Services Agency and Sustainability Team came together to celebrate Earth Day with purpose and pride.
The day included a behind-the-scenes tour of our sustainability efforts—from solar canopies and electric vehicles to pollinator gardens and water-wise landscaping. As part of our tradition, we planted a tree, with help from our dedicated landscape crew who work hard every day to keep our campus clean, healthy, and sustainable.
We also shared how pervious concrete helps protect our environment by improving water flow and reducing runoff. With support from our Board of Supervisors and the dedication of our staff, we continue to take action for a greener, more resilient Ventura County.

✨This week, the Ventura County Board of Supervisors honored a group of selfless volunteers with a proclamation recognizing their efforts in the aftermath of the Mountain Fire.
Following the devastating Mountain Fire, this group known as the Sifters came together to help families recover cherished belongings from the ashes. Led by retired Ventura County Firefighter Ron Topolinski, these community members and retired firefighters used their own tools and trucks to offer comfort and support during a time of loss.
We are grateful to the Sifters for their compassion, generosity, and unwavering support during our community`s time of need. ❤
