Ventura, CA – The County of Ventura is partnering with Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) and EV Advocates of Ventura County to host daily virtual events during this year’s National Drive Electric Week, starting on September 28th through October 4th. The local Ventura Drive Electric Week events are part of the tenth annual nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of the availability and benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles.
The virtual events will cover everything you need to know to start driving electric. For instance, during the EV 101 Lunch and Learn, participants will find out how to stack incentives and purchase a new electric vehicle for the price of a Toyota Corolla, or used electric vehicle for as little as $5,000. The EV Driver and Dealership Meet and Greet will provide the opportunity to learn about the 40 electric vehicle models available in California, range, charging, and driving experiences. Individuals and business owners can ask local experts about the available incentives and funding opportunities during the EV-related Incentives and Funding Lunch and Learn.
Chair of the Board of Supervisors, Kelly Long, stated, “The Ventura events will highlight the clean-air benefits, cost-savings, and fun provided by driving an electric vehicle. By increasing access to electric vehicles, we are supporting the state’s goal of putting five million zero-emission cars on its roads by 2030.”
