This year’s Inflation Reduction Act announcement, as well as statewide transportation electrification targets are changing the landscape for EVs in the next decade. In the coming years, EVs will become more affordable, more prevalent, and easier to charge. Californians are making the switch to electric to avoid high gas prices, reduce their carbon footprint, and make their contribution to clean air in their communities.

There is also a range of in-person EV events occurring in the Tri-county Region (Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo (SLO) counties) throughout the National Drive Electric Week. These events, hosted by our regional partners, highlight the many benefits – including affordability – of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more:

  • Sunday, 9/25 – EV Advocates of Ventura County presents: Ventura Harbor EV Showcase @ Ventura Harbor from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
