The month of July is Parks & Recreation Month and we invite you to unwind right here in your own backyard. Camp Comfort, our county’s first park, established in 1904 along this very creek, is more than a campsite; it’s a reminder of what makes VC so special.

With over 20 parks and natural spaces across the county, there’s a nearby refuge calling your name! Whether you crave the rush of a riverside hike or the calm of a creek, July’s the perfect time to get out and explore!

A big thank you to our dedicated Park Rangers at our @venturacountyparks department who work hard year-round to maintain our campgrounds, protect our natural resources, and help keep visitors safe. 🙌💚

Planning to camp at a County campground this 4th of July? Here are a few friendly reminders to help everyone enjoy a safe holiday weekend:

🚫 Fireworks are strictly prohibited
🔥 Fires must stay in designated fire pits. No standalone flames.
🚯 Don’t be a litterbug. Pack up your belongings.
🐾 Keep pets leashed and clean up after them.
💵 Day use fees can now be paid two ways: use the cash envelope method or try our convenient new online payment option!

Enjoy the outdoors and help us protect what makes it beautiful. Have a great holiday weekend! 🌿
